Pippi Longstocking Arrested for DUI and Felony Hit and Run

Tami Erin, Pippi Longstocking, arrested for DUI

Thirty-nine year-old Tami Erin famous for playing the character of Pippi Longstocking in “The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking” back in 1988 was arrested Saturday Dec. 14, 2013 for DUI and felony hit-and-run.

Arrested after Damaging Three vehicles

Erin was driving in L.A. when she allegedly hit 3 cars and took off. Law enforcement sources say at least one person was taken to the hospital.

Erin didn’t hit and run the three cars all at once — she hit the first car then drove off … then hit another car and drove off … and then she hit the last.

Arrested after administered field Sobriety Test

When the police found her they administered a field sobriety test and then arrested her for both the felony hit and run and DUI. One source says she was “totally out of control … just out of it.”

Bail set at 100K

Erin refused to submit a blood alcohol test … and her bail was set at $100K. Later Erin was bailed out of jail.

Arrested for Assault

In April 2013, she was taken into custody for allegedly assaulting her roommate. Walnut Creek Police report that Erin was placed under a citizen’s arrest by a neighbor who heard her and her male roommate arguing. According to police, Erin’s roommate called out for help and that’s when the neighbor rushed over to help.

The actress was released from custody the next morning, and the case has been passed on to the District Attorney for review.
